Hello, I'm Katelyn

I'm a Senior at Wake Forest University eager to explore opportunities in Marketing and Project Management.

About Me

Hi, I'm Katelyn Sawyer, a senior at Wake Forest University majoring in Communications with minors in Global Trade & Commerce and Marketing Communications. I’m passionate about combining creativity and organization to deliver impactful marketing strategies and projects.

My academic and professional journey has been enriched by diverse experiences both on and off-campus. At Wake Forest, I’ve taken on leadership roles such as Student Director of the WFU Period Project, where I led initiatives to improve menstrual health awareness and accessibility in the local community. Through this role, I organized monthly events, managed volunteer teams, and oversaw the distribution of essential resources to women’s shelters and schools.

I’ve also been deeply involved in other student-led initiatives, such as the DESK Fundraiser and the WFU Marketing Challenge, where I co-chaired a marketing competition that connected students with corporate sponsors. These roles have helped me develop strong project management and communication skills, allowing me to work effectively with diverse teams and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.

Beyond campus, my internships at Jackrabbit Design and Notch Brewing allowed me to gain hands-on experience in social media management, SEO optimization, content creation, and data analysis. With my Google Analytics Certification, I bring a data-driven approach to my work, ensuring that strategies are both insightful and effective.

Studying abroad in Spain and England has further strengthened my adaptability and global perspective, equipping me to thrive in dynamic environments. Whether managing complex projects or crafting creative marketing campaigns, I’m dedicated to making a positive impact through thoughtful work.

I’m excited to continue leveraging my skills and experiences to create meaningful connections and drive results. Let’s connect!

A Home Away From Home: Jewish Life At Wake Forest

Arriving on campus as a freshman is daunting for most, as students have to learn to navigate a new social setting and find communities that reflect their unique identities. A sense of community helps ground us and creates a space of comfortability that can make living away from home for the first time a more digestible experience. For many Jewish students on campus, finding a place that supports and reflects their religious and cultural identities is vital to keeping their small population thriving.
